Blackberry smart phone application for texting drivers

Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

A new application  for the Blackberry smart phones gives you a simple solution to texting while driving.  The Auto TextBak  gives you an easy way to set an away message that automatically replies to incoming text messages. It works just like the out-of-office email response.

What a great idea! Here is how it works. When someone tries to text you while you are driving, the Auto TextBak replies with a message you input. For example, you can say, “I’m driving right now will get back to you when I arrive at my destination.” Or “I’m taking a nap, call you when I wake up.” Or “Spending time with my kids” You get the idea. In this way, you won’t be answering your text messages on your Blackberry when you are driving or every minute of the day.

Not only can you customize your away message but also you can build an ignore list and also check who Auto TextBak has responded to. The application icon turns from white to green to indicate that it is turned on and active.

Here is the best part of this new app, the cost is only $2.99 for a one time download. Check it out and remember don’t text while driving.

Obama’s free app for iPod phones

Monday, February 8th, 2010

Have you seen this app yet?

According to Canada Free Press, you can now see live video streaming of Obama’s public events at the White House, take part in frequent web chats with “Administration officials”, and get in on other events like key speeches and press briefings in real time.

This app is free and available for Apple iPhone and iPod Touch. According to the article, now you can get all the propaganda that the White House wants you see with only a touch on your phone.

The article makes a good point when it says, “Tuning in on da Prez through their phones is something the poor, for whom he claims Patron Saint status, will likely never be able to do. The White House’s latest technology bells and whistles were launched at a time when Americans are hurting through loss of jobs and homes.”

If you have an iPhone it costs roughly $150 a month. Many Americans can use that kind of money for other things such as feeding their kids or buying them warm winter boots.

Statistically, thirty-one percent of iPhone users are 35-49 years old, while only 12 percent of iPod touch users fall in this age segment.

But if you must have an iPhone now you can “connect” with the White House and Obama any time you want to.
