This season’s celebrities of Dancing with the Stars
Wednesday, August 19th, 2009This season’s Dancing with the Stars has the largest cast ever. From actors, snowboarders, models and even a former Republican Majority Leader, the show should be fun and entertaining. Four new dance styles — the Bolero, the Charleston, the Two Step and the Lambada — are also going to be introduced.
Here are the stars:
AARON CARTER is triple platinum selling music artist/songwriter, producer, actor and younger brother of Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter. He’s a pop and teen sensation.
NATALIE COUGHLIN is an Olympic swimming gold medalist and the most decorated female athlete of both the 2008 Beijing and 2004 Athens Games. She won a medal in every single Olympic event that she has ever entered, for a total of 11 Olympic medals.
MARK DACASCOS is famously known as “The Chairman” and host of Food Network’s “Iron Chef America.” Mark Dacascos is also a trained martial artist and an actor.
TOM DELAY is a former Republican House Majority Leader and he and his wife, Christine, also served as foster parents and founded a community in Texas that serves as a safe, permanent home for abused and neglected children.
MACY GRAY is a singer whose debut album, “On How Life Is,” went to number one. She has gone on to sell more than 20,000,000 albums worldwide and has won and been nominated for five Grammy Awards and six MTV Video Music Awards.
ASHLEY HAMILTON is an actor, songwriter, comedian and son of former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant George Hamilton.
MELISSA JOAN HART is an actor and is known for her starring roles in the television series “Clarissa Explains It All” and “Sabrina the Teenage Witch.”
KATHY IRELAND is a super model and now a wife, mother of three, author, Sunday school teacher and fashion CEO of kathy ireland Worldwide® (KIWW)®. that is a $1.4 billion design empire.
MICHAEL IRVIN is regarded as one of the most successful wide receivers in the history of the NFL,. He was a former Dallas Cowboy and a three-time Super Bowl champion and former broadcaster for ESPN’s “NFL Countdown.”
JOANNA KRUPA is a Polish-born model and actress. She was born in Warsaw and raised in Chicago. She is the most requested models/covergirls in the world. PETA’s “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” campaign featuring Krupa became a phenomenon.
CHUCK LIDDELL is an icon of the Mixed Martial Arts and competed in Ultimate Fighting Championship. In 1998 he won his first UFC Mixed Martial Arts fight.
DEBI MAZAR feature film debut in Martin Scorsese’s “Goodfellas” set the stage for an extensive career in both television and film. Her television credits include “Friends,” “Ugly Betty” and her own sitcom, CBS’ “Temporarily Yours.”
MYA is a Grammy Award ® winning multi-platinum artist who became a star at the age of 18. In addition to releasing five full-length albums, one of which went platinum and gold, she starred in the acclaimed film “Chicago.”
KELLY OSBOURNE is a singer, actress and media personality, who is the daughter of Ozzy Osbourne and Sharon Osbourne. ”
DONNY OSMOND is a legend in his own time. He is a singer, actor, talk show and game show host, author and race car driver and of course he is Marie Osmond’s brother. As their duet used to say, he’s a little bit country so it should be interesting to see him dance.
LOUIE VITO is a professional snowboarder among the U.S.’ elite snowboarders favored to make the 2010 Olympic team.
So these are the stars. The show will have eight teams perform on Monday night and the other eight teams perform on Tuesday night. On the first Wednesday night, two couples will be eliminated.
