An Odd Tale about Tails

Recently, I heard about this horse tale story on the local news. It seems that someone is cutting off the tails of horses in rural Elbert County, Colorado. Three beautiful Belgian horses’ tails were trimmed off. I saw the pictures and not all of the tail was cut. The tail thieves left about 6 to 12 inches of horsetail. Soon after, five more horses near Parker, Colorado lost their tails as well.

Who would be doing this malicious attack against these mild, sweet and lovable horses? The sheriff department has no clue. They suspect that these horsetail thieves are using the cut tails to make hatbands, hair extensions and possibly violin bows.

Now I know times are tough, but come on folks, destroying the natural beauty of these horses seems senseless to me. I think the best punishment for these thieves would be making them shave their heads.

Until later,

Linda
