With only four days left before the election on November 7^th the phone calls and T.V. advertising are getting hot and heavy.  In fact, just the other day I got a call from Robert Redford.  Nice of him to call me, but he was pitching a candidate and I was really busy and told Bob I couldn’t talk right now but call me back later.

After about a two weeks of soliciting phone calls for my vote for a candidate I received a call that an actual person was talking to me.  He asked me if I was going to vote for a certain candidate.  By this time I had enough of this nonsense.  So I said, “No, I’m not voting for your candidate.”  It seemed to shock him but I haven’t had any more phone calls since then.  I guess when you say no that means put me on the no call list.  That’s just fine with me.

This weekend I am going to spend the day reviewing the candidates and looking at the ballot issues in my state.  I will make a list of who I will vote for and my decision on my state’s ballot issues.  On Tuesday morning I will go and vote and whether my candidate or the ballot issues win or not I know that I have made my choice wisely.

That is what being an American is and I thank all of our military people that everyday they protect this country so that I can be free to vote.  Now you have no excuse not to vote.  Your vote is very important because it is your voice.  Use that voice on Tuesday and shout out your opinion.  But please be considerate of others who have opinions too and respect their voice.

The three semi-finalists for Dancing with the Stars are Mario Lopez, Joey Lawrence and Emmitt Smith.  Just as I predicted!

The results show last night was uneventful as well as predictable.  I was sorry to see Monique leave especially after the really good Cha Cha she danced the night before.  But the three stars that are left are really very good.  Their dance partners are excellent instructors as well as dancers and I wish them all good luck.

Next Tuesday the stars will be dancing two dances again -  a ballroom dance and a Latin dance.  They have a lot of work ahead for them.  The sad part is that someone will be eliminated.

Do I dare go out on a limb and predict who the final two will be?  Nah, I will see how they dance on Tuesday and then make a prediction.  I am 2 for 2 right now.  I called Jerry Springer and Monique Coleman as the last two stars eliminated.

Check back with me next week with my prediction and I just may call the winner at that time.

I’ve sat back and listened to the debate of what John Kerry said and didn’t say about his little “joke.”  Quite frankly I’m disgusted at what he said about our troops in Iraq.  I know what I heard him say and it was a bash against our troops and NOT against President Bush.

His refusal to admit what he said was wrong but not unusual for John Kerry.  He’s had a lot of time to play the blame game.  Back during the Vietnam War he blamed the soldiers for atrocities and said he was blaming the administration.  Now let me get this right.  If two kids on a school playground are fighting, then the blame must go to the teacher, administrators, principal or even the school board – because these children are fighting? 

I also am offended by his remarks that if we didn’t get his joke as a bash against this administration that we were stupid.  Well, excuse me Mr. Kerry, I’m a mere mortal and have learned throughout the years that us mere mortals take responsibility for our words, actions and deeds.  But you must consider yourself not a mortal but something higher!

Finally, after almost two days of his arrogant attitude refusing to apologize, I see that he apologized for his botched joke.  Not good enough for me.  He didn’t say, I’m sorry that I said that about our troops, he didn’t say that he didn’t mean it, but he did say that he botched the joke and is apologizing for it.  That is narcissism at its highest!  He’s never wrong but everyone else is.

So once again John Kerry has opened his mouth and inserted his foot.  I am very proud of our troops and know that they chose to serve their country.  I saw some stats this morning that said that 99% of our soldiers are all high school graduates and that the average age is 26 years old.  No drop outs here or no uneducated soldiers as far as I can see.

John Kerry is still living in the past and as far as I am concerned he will never get out of the Vietnam Era.  Grow up, John, take responsibility for your words and actions and start acting like a true patriot.  But then you would have to be a mere mortal to do that.

Last night’s Dancing with the Stars show featured the final four stars – Joey Lawrence, Mario Lopez, Monique Coleman and Emmitt Smith.  The theme of the show was Halloween and the costumes and songs reflected the fun of Halloween.

All four stars danced a Tango, Waltz or Fox Trot to start the competition.  Joey had a fun dance with the Tango; Mario romantically danced the Waltz and was awesome as usual.  Monique had a difficult time keeping up with the Tango but I think Louis, her partner, is teaching her very difficult steps and needs to back off a bit and just let her have some fun dancing.  Even the judges mentioned to Monique that less is more and to try to have some fun.

Then there is Emmitt and his Fox Trot.  Wow!  Wow! Wow! 

The second dance the stars heated up the stage with some Latin dances.  Joey danced the Pasa Doble and danced like he was having fun and I might add looked rather sexy.  Mario danced the Samba, once again what can I say but  - Wow!  Finally Monique danced the Cha Cha and I believe this was her best dance to date.  She had fun, enthusiasm and did a great job.  I think the Cha Cha brought Monique back into the competition.  Emmitt danced the Rhumba and OH MY!  I had to take a cold shower after his performance!  I am so impressed with how Emmitt handles himself on the dance floor I think he should get a special prize.

Tonight is going to be very difficult for all the stars as well as for the viewers.  By now they have voted and unfortunately one of the stars has to go home.  I applaud all of the stars for making it to the final four and all were great.  But I predict that the semi-finals, which is next week, will feature an all Boys Club.
