A starry night filled with dancing
Last night was filled with dances by the last remaining five couples on Dancing with the Stars. For the first time, Dancing with the Stars will be adding up last week’s scores to this week’s scores and weeding out the last place couple. After last night’s performance, I think it will be a very hard decision to make even for the viewers.
The five remaining stars, Emmitt Smith, Jerry Springer, Monique Coleman, Joey Lawrence and Mario Lopez all danced their hearts and feet off.
Ballroom Dances
The stars danced their first routine to ballroom dancing. Jerry Springer danced a Fox Trot. Actually, this time I think Jerry did a good job. He was keeping up and had fun. Monique danced a Quick Step with her partner and it looked really good. Emmitt danced a waltz and it was awesome!!! He nailed it, he was light on his feet, looked very sophisticated and like I said was awesome. Mario danced a Fox Trot and there were some shades of Gene Kelly in his routine – I liked it. Joey also danced a Fox Trot to a Gene Kelly favorite, “Singing in the Rain” but he didn’t have the flair that either Gene or Mario did with this dance. He needs to smile more and look like he is enjoying himself.
Latin Dances
With the ball room dance completed the stars moved onto the Latin dances. Here is where poor Jerry fell flat on his face. He looked awful. Once again a man of his age should be stirred not shaken! Monique danced the Pasa Doble and was acceptable, I wasn’t crazy about her dancing but she did all right. Emmitt was smokin’ to the Mambo. What an outstanding performance! Right now he is my favorite to win this competition. Mario danced the Jive and once again did a great job, but it seemed that the judges were giving him marks as if he was a professional, I don’t think that’s very fair. Finally, Joey danced the Mambo and did a great job – but he has to smile more when he dances. He looks as though he is concentrating too much and not having any fun. Lighten up Joey!
Tonight will be the Results Show. I think I know who may be going home – don’t you? Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!
Until later,
Linda
